The Institute of Neohellenic Studies of Sorbonne is facing closing down

Following the sudden loss of Professor Micail Lassithiotakis, director of the Institute, and despite the efforts of those working in it to ensure the continuation of its function, no measures have been taken about his succession from the rectoral administrative authorities of the University of Sorbonne. The people working in the Institute fear that everything shows that there will be no replacement because there are thoughts about abolishing this position.
