Three Greeks on Sydney Rich Bachelor List

Three Greek-Australians have made the list of the top 10 self-made rich bachelors in Sydney, according to the newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
John Symond, a second generation Lebanese immigrant, ranked first with a fortune of more than $490 million. Nikos Politis was second at $200 million, although reports said his true wealth could hit $500 million, which would make him the richest on the list.
Politis is a car salesman and major shareholder of WFM Motors Pty Ltd and Australian Health Care Ltd. He is most notable for running and expanding the car company from March 1974, re-branding its marketing name as City Ford, transforming it into one of the largest Ford dealerships in Australia, and rescuing the health care company from failure, including its exposure to the LaTrobe Regional Hospital fiasco, where tens of millions were lost in disastrous contract management. His business has been sponsors of the Sydney Roosters since 1976, and since 1993 Politis has been chairman of its Board of Directors.
After John Singleton and Neville Crichton, Mark Bouris is fifth. He is a businessman best known as the founder and Chairman of Wizard Home Loans, Australia’s second largest non-bank mortgage lender behind Aussie Home Loans. He is now the Chairman of Yellow Brick Road, a business which he founded in 2007. Bouris first entered the BRW Rich 200 list in 2005 at 10th and in 2007 he was included on the list for the second time.
Theo Onisforou is sixth in the list of ten richer bachelors of Sidney. Well-known actor, Russell Crowe is seventh, followed by Alan Jones, Jeff Browne and Justin Hemmes
