Last
night the Kytherian Association held a dinner dance at which the Metropoliti,
Father Petros and the Dimarhos were honoured and farewelled - at George
Hatziplis Westside Lounge Marrickville. The night was a huge success, over 500
people, and there was much 'kefi'.The Metropoliti and the Mayor thanked their
hosts and said how impressed they were by Australia
and by the Kytherians in Australia
keeping Kythera alive.
Yesterday
the Dinarhos was taken to the town of Orange ,
some 5 hours drive west of Sydney .
He came to the function late but was still well received.
The
Dimarho went with John Comino to Kogarah Council to visit the local 'sister
city' mayor. Then he met the Aroney Trustees.
They
have done a lot of sightseeing, have been to Canberra
and Melbourne .
George
Hatziplis and Mina Raissis have been travelling with them.
Maria
Koukoulis has been staying with Raissis. We took Maria to the Greek Film
Festival at Leichhardt, I think she enjoyed it. She is liking her stay here
although did not go to Brisbane .
Very
likeable people.
Metropoliti
is leaving on Monday, the Dimarho on Thursday.
